The Riverside Live Steamers is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to providing steam powered train rides to the public. Our train rides for the public are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10am-3pm. The rides are free, but your generous donations help keep the trains running and are greatly appreciated!
The railroad at hunter park is 7.5″ gauge. Most trains you’ll see are 1/8th the size of their prototype. Only live steam engines are allowed to operate. We are the only “steam only” club in the country.
We were established in 1966 by a group of local railroad enthusiasts. The purpose of the club was to maintain the city’s newly gifted train, train cars, the railroad and to provide rides to the public.
The railroad is located in Riverside’s Hunter Hobby Park at 1421 Iowa Ave.
